cncPave
is a computer
simulation program whose purpose is to facilitate competent
decision-making when designing concrete pavements.
The latest
version of the program, cncPave, version 404 is available for download
from this website.
In addition
to features previously incorporated in cncPAVE402 the following has
been changed in cncPAVE404:
The prediction of the performance of all pavements, especially
Ultra-thin continuously reinforced concrete (UC) is based on more
testing by the Heavy Vehicle Simulator (HVS) as well as monitoring of
existing pavements. Sensitivity to annual rainfall increases with
decrease in slab thickness.
This makes the performance predictions more realistic.
Please note that: Humidity
that was variable no. 15 in cncPAVE402 is now constant
no. 22. Annual
rainfall that was constant no. 22 in cncPAVE402 is now variable
no. 15.
Variable no. 1 - water/cement
ratio - has been replaced by cement
content.
The unit costs that are offered as default values - see the Life cost topic - were updated to reflect the 2009
prices.
